Almost Four!!! And summer's over...

Evidently this is an every other month blog... but hey, at least i'm here now.  After having a fabulous time in Bisbee on our annual fall break trip we came home to cooler weather, back to school for both Edythe and Matthew and Mama got a lil' job at the Yavapai College Art Gallery which I just started at today.  Times are changin', going to bed early and trying to get some rest has our been our plan lately.  Hope everyone is well and getting excited for Halloween!!  Just realized I hadn't even posted pics of E's first day of school..it's going great by the way!!

Well....

         It's been two months friends, and so much has happened. After my last post we got that fire contained, but as you all know a new fire was about to start that claimed the lives of our brave young men.  I am almost crying still just as I write this down.  It will take a  long time for this community to be the same and please use this as a reminder to be ever kinder, more communicative and open.

     Edythe is starting pre-school on Tuesday!!  Woot woot!  She got her big girl bed and rearranged her big girl room.  We miss Daddy as he is back to working 11 hour days.  We had a great summer rain season and the garden went off!!  Have already made peach and blackberry preserves, grape jelly is next on the docket.  Fall is on the horizon, but for now linger in summer's glow.  Hope all is well for all of you...comments are nice too y'all!

Ol' goose is growing up before our eyes it seems lately!  Summer is here with heat and dryness and house projects as well as an ever growing forest fire.  Edythe goes to a few days of camp at the ymca next week and otherwise we are just trying to enjoy every day to its fullest!  happy summer friends.

Almost Summer

Well friends, May is flying by, and actually we can't wait til it's over because then we get Daddy home a lot more!!! We are going through some nap/quiet time transitions and a big girl bed is finally right around the corner.  Maybe a YMCA pre school camp this summer and otherwise lots of gardening, home projects and hanging with friends and family!

 Well friends, the Spring is coming along beautifully.  the lilacs are blooming, iris are coming up and all is lovely.  We planted two raspberries and one blueberry that look to be doing very well.  Edythe and I went to our first yoga class together, which went pretty well except for one of us not wanting to follow directions....Also, all the paperwork is in for Edythe to go to pre-school next August!! We're excited for summer and hope all is well with all of you. xoxox
